Our nearest village is picturesque Rhandirmwyn. There are two country pubs, the Towy Bridge Inn on the bank of the river Tywi down the lane from Troedrhiwgelynen and the Royal Oak Inn located in the centre of the village.

Llandovery is an ancient Drovers market town with the ruins of a Norman Castle, and some fine Georgian houses. It is the nearest town and has a supermarket, delicatessen, banks, post office, and restaurants/hotels.

There are local public houses in Rhandirmwyn (the Royal Oak) and the Towy Bridge Inn which serve food. There are several pubs in Llandovery including the Bear Inn, as well as an Indian restaurant and a Chinese takeaway.

There are plenty of wonderful locations for swimming in the local rivers. There is also a public swimming pool in Llandovery.

The nearest cinemas are the 1925 art deco designed Coliseum Cinema in Brecon (photograph) and a multiplex in Carmarthen.

The nearest supermarket is a Cooperative in Llandovery. Asda offer a home delivery service to the property itself.
